WELCOME TO CRONOMAR
Tuesday 14 March 2017 | 12:36:14 | Published in News

CroNoMar has opened the door towards Norway for Croatian companies
Last week 2 new catamarans of 13,75m length have been successfully exported to Norway from Šibenik, built by the company NCP Groupa d.o.o.. The value of this exports is about 1.5 million EUR. This gives an impressive figure of 61 catamarans produced at Sibenik shipyard all for export. It is s important to mention that already now the šibenska company through intermediation of company.

Also, within these days’ company CroNoMar has successfully completed the multi-year process of negotiations with the company from the Split-Dalmatia County, on the basis of which a new contract for the production of monohull vessels also for the Norwegian aquaculture sector has been concluded. The contract is based on the model for the first 2 vessels with the intention that within one year innovative improvements shall be implemented, and that following the expected satisfaction from the foreign partner of the delivered product, a Croatian partner gets opportunity for multi-year production both for the Norwegian and other international aquaculture markets.

The entire project of building working boats in Croatia for the international aquaculture market began in 2010 through the mediation of the company CroNoMar. The main objective of CroNoMar is to connect Croatian and Norwegian companies in the Marine/Maritime sector, identification of market needs and to provide access to new markets in order to strengthen the competitiveness and export potential of Croatian entrepreneurs, especially small and medium size enterprises operating within the maritime sector in Croatia, and direct mediation in contracting new businesses, as well as an active role in implementing these projects  both towards Croatian and Norwegian partner.

Thanks to product quality and competitiveness in relation to other manufacturers, the project of building work boats for international clients in the aquaculture sector has been continued through the contracting of new models and types of boats. Following the mentioned approach that is primarily led by the idea of introducing new models within existing partners, new negotiations for the production of new models of 15m length catamarans have been successfully completed to be built at Pula shipyard Tehnomont.

Each new contract is negotiated separately in order to be fully adapted to the requirements of the end customer. Each ship is special and, as such, "a story for itself" from the technical point of view. It is important to mention that the new contracts include a new design, new models, and significant technical improvements on the vessels that are already well known Croatian product, but in this way the new possibilities have been created for the presentation and even better promotion of high quality Croatian products for foreign market in the aquaculture sector. This means not only revenue growth and earnings, but also jobs for different profiles of workers in the Croatian shipbuilding sector and engineering.

Vessels built in Sibenik are used in daily operations at the fish farms in Norway, Saudi Arabia, the Shetland Islands, Iceland, and other countries around the world, while the service vessels built in Tehnomont in Pula are so for only used in Norway for the supply, maintenance and servicing the fish farms. New vessels will also initially be used only in Norway.
The company CroNoMar from very beginning is helping entrepreneurs from the region and entire Croatian on the way towards foreign markets and is successfully identifying and creating new business opportunities for the further breakthrough of quality Croatian products to the markets around the world.

The mediation of company CroNoMar in connection with Norwegian partners in the field of engineering in shipbuilding has enabled also the company Navarch d.o.o. that is located within the Innovation Incubator of iNavis center in Sibenik to sign new contracts related to design and redesign of working boats for Norwegian customers in 2017.
These contracts realized through mediation of CroNoMar present on the best way the potential for the space at the international market for everyone who can offer a competitive product or service of higher added value with the guarantee of quality, which is a major prerequisite for economic growth, because it is just such type of new businesses that provides production growth, new investment and new, well-paid jobs.

Significant success related to exports from Croatia has been also achieved by the company Marin Globe, which has been established as a result of cooperation between CroNoMar and international clients. Marin Globe is a company engaged in trading and presentation of maritime equipment produced in Croatia to the international markets, initially Norwegian and later also other international markets. From its establishment until today through mediation of company Marin Globe more than 80 marine type cranes of different characteristics depending on the needs of the end user have been exported. Most of them have been installed on the vessels produced in Croatia and some of them have been delivered directly to customers in Norway. Also, already now 10 more cranes have been subcontracted for the export in 2017.

Following the trends in the maritime sector in recent years Marin Globe adjusted its activities to the latest trends in serial production and production trends tailored to customer requirements, filling completely the wishes and needs of international customers.

High quality, delivery on time, after-sales support are just some of the factors that have positioned Marin Globe as a respectable company in the distribution sector for the maritime equipment in the world.

As a result from several years of negotiations, a successful presentations and shown quality of the products and partnership with the Croatian company Adria winch from Solin, from the end of 2014 all vessels aimed for export have been equipped with an additional maritime equipment produced by Croatian producers, which has become the "standard" technical equipment for the vessels produced in Sibenik. Through this cooperation more than excellent result has been achieved and about 70 capstans have been delivered to the international customers so far. This successful cooperation has opened the way towards the realization of a new businesses, thus continuing also on the new projects that have just been subcontracted in Split-Dalmatia County.

“A step ahead” to the new markets primarily for the countries of far East  which has been done at the beginning of 2015 successfully continued in 2016 through presentation of the quality Croatian products on the markets of the Far East opening the way for the realization of new businesses and further placement of Croatian products at the new markets.
New negotiations for 2017 have led to a significant increase in orders, that has directly resulted with positioning of Croatian maritime product from two different Croatian companies on the new vessels that are built in China.

The Marin Globe company plans for 2018 are based on the market demands, but also on the quality of Croatian products which with competitive prices and further investment in development and innovation, as well as through increased activity from the Marin Globe as such compared to their promotion can successfully compete among the world's major manufacturers of marine equipment.
