Značajna financijska vrijednost nije i jedino značajno obilježje svih ovih projekata.

(ENG.)
CroNoMar, from beginning to today

CroNoMar is a Norwegian-owned Croatian company established in 2009 with the aim of connecting Croatian and Norwegian entrepreneurs within the marine and maritime sector and providing support to entrepreneurs through different services that will contribute to their business development and competitiveness.

First of all, CroNoMar's activities are related to providing professional assistance to entrepreneurs, giving information, consulting and networking, as well as facilitating access to funding sources, access to new markets, implementing new business models and internationalization of business activities of Croatian companies.

The efforts of CroNoMar aimed at strengthening the cooperation between two countries have also contributed to the successful realization of the Croatian-Norwegian project of the establishment of  Maritime Innovation Center - iNavis in Sibenik, which was in 2012. Due to the great importance of this project, in 2011 was also organized a visit of the Norwegian Royal couple to Šibenik, which has also encouraged further economic cooperation between Croatia and the Kingdom of Norway.

At iNavis centre CroNoMar - Innovation Incubator, the Regional Development Agency of Šibenik-Knin County, and the Dislocated Study on Energy Efficiency and Renewable Resources at the University of Zagreb are located.

Given that the activities of the company are directed to the maritime and marine sector in Croatia and Norway, the services that CroNoMar offers are in alignance with international standards and are fully tailored to the end user, primarily aimed at internationalization of businesses and access to new markets. CroNoMar's daily activities are based on the transfer of knowledge, technology and business development, with the aim of positioning the Centre as a recognizable brand in Croatia as well as in the world. Projects implemented through CroNoMar enable stable but also a new jobs in the environment where they are being implemented.

On this way the entire project of manufacturing vessels for Norwegian aquaculture market has started already in 2010 in cooperation with the company NCP from Šibenik.

All vessels produced at NCP are used in day-to-day operations at fish farms in countries all over the world, most of them in Norway, and are also addapted to the harsh weather conditions as well as individual end-customer requirements, creating a single, characteristic product. Through mediation of CroNoMar's NCP shipyard from Sibenik continued its long-term successful cooperation with Norwegian partners by contracting new jobs for this demanding market.

Up to today, 91 catamarans of different sizes, characteristics and types have been delivered from NCP, most of them for clients in Norway, several for clients in Saudi Arabia, two for UK customers, one for the Canadian market. Each contract is particular and technical specification of the product is contracted according to the wishes and needs of the end customer.

Significant financial value is not the only significant feature of all these projects. The fact that the vessels built in the Croatian shipyards are achieving international competitiveness on the worldwide market as a recognizable Croatian product is creating a great pleasure for all project participants, creating new opportunities for presentation and even better promotion of Croatian high quality products on foreign markets in the aquaculture sector. This means not only revenue growth and earnings but also new jobs for different profiles of workers in the Croatian shipbuilding and engineering sector.

It is important to note that each new contract is a separate negotiation object with the aim that the final product is totally fulfilling requirements of the end customer. Subcontracting of each vessel is a process that takes several months.

As far as shipbuilding itself  is concerned, apart from the NCP shipyard in Šibenik, vessels for Norwegian and other international clients through mediation of CroNoMar are also been produced at Tehnomont Pula, Oštro, Kastela, and Intelligent Marine Solution from Sibenik/Murter.

The products of Croatian small shipbuilding that are successfully exported are catamaran both prototypes and catamarans in length of 11.95m -14.99m – different types, service and fishing vessels up to 25m of length, monohull of 10m, and hybrid vessels with a combination of electric drive.

CroNoMar is intensely looking for new projects connected with maritime sector that can provide new opportunities for Croatian companies to develop further in this sector and also to the growth of the economy and further boosting export and strengthening of export competitiveness. CroNoMar's new activities are based on engineering in shipbuilding meaning they are referring to the contracting of technical documentation for vesels, update of existing design and similar activities all with aim of presenting the quality and innovation of Croatian engineers in foreign markets. For now, several domestic companies from Sibenik and Split are involved in these projects.

From very beginning CroNoMar is trying to contract the implementation of as many maritime equipment produced in Croatia and on that way show the professionalism of Croatian manufactures on international level.
