This week the shipment of 3 more vessels to international aquaculture sector will take place delivering one hybrid vessel from Šibenik and two monohull vessels from Kaštela.
Presently, the company CroNoMar is in final phase of negotiation process between Norwegian partners and Croatian producers for delivery of more monohulls, and catamaran to be used as workboats, service vessels and fishing vessels. Concluding negotiations will mean continuing the successful cooperation started many years ago. All vessels have improvements compared to the previous one and each vessel that has been exported is a learning process. In 2019 there has been built/delivered both a fishing vessel and the first two catamarans with hybrid propulsion solutions. Following the expected satisfaction from the foreign partner with delivered product and its quality, the Croatian producer gets opportunity for multi-year production both for the Norwegian and other international aquaculture markets. New contracts will lead to a significant increase in orders that has directly resulted with positioning Croatian maritime production internationally.
The entire project of building working boats in Croatia for the international aquaculture market began in 2010 through the mediation of the company CroNoMar. The main objective of CroNoMar is to connect Croatian and Norwegian companies in the Marine/Maritime sector and to strength the export potential of Croatian producers.
The contracts realized through mediation of CroNoMar, present on the best way the potential of Croatian companies at the world aquaculture market, but in the same time they are proof of competitiveness of Croatian product or service of higher added value with the guarantee of quality.
Successful conclusion of the negotiated contracts is a prerequisite for economic growth which is then followed by further production growth, new investment and additional well-paid jobs.
The largest success of all partners involved in these projects are more than 130 vessels delivered to international aquaculture sector in 10 years period with export value of more than 140 mill EUR.
In 2020 the plan is to continue with “full speed ahead” finalizing more contracts and creating even more success.
